Step 1:
Bring up your Outlook Express Inbox. Click on New Message (or) New Mail, which ever one you may have.
It is a good idea to add your email background at this time.
To do this on the very top of your new message. Click on Format on the drop down menu, move your arrow to Backgrounds, on the side menu move your arrow to and click on picture. From here you can navigate to where you have some backgrounds or pictures stored. Once you are satisifed with your background picture. Then look on the very bottom of your new message. If you do not see.
View Script Preview
Then follow Step 2 - below... If you do see View Source & Preview on the bottom of your new message, then skip down to Step 3.

Step 2:
On your new message box. Go to the very top taskbar. Do a search for View and click on View. On the drop down menu, Click onto Source Edit. This will place a check mark in front of the Source Edit, and placing the View - Source & Preview on the bottom of your New message.

Step 3:
On the bottom of your New Message. Click onto Source. This is where you will be adding the above script codes. Now highlight and copy the 1st code above. Go back to your new message email source. And where you see (style)__(/style) right click between these and paste the 1st part of this code there.
An example of doing this would be. to place the first part between the (style) and the (/style) just after the first (HEAD).

Step 4:
Now highlight & copy the second code, and go back to your email source, and paste this code after the body tag in your new message source page. An Example of this would be...
"Bodybgcolor= #ffffff background= YourPicture.jpg" ( or ) .gif

Step 5:
After you have pasted both these codes into your email source, exactly where they should be. Then on the very bottom of your new message page, Click onto Edit, click onto your white board. Here you can change your fonts type style, color, size.. etc.. After you have done all the changes you want, then begin typing your message. You can move back and forth on the bottom of your new message page from Edit to Preview. To see what your message will look like. Always remember that you can ONLY type and send your message while you are in the EDIT section. You can also add pictures, and trailing cursors, etc.. to your new message.

Keep in mind that at any point if you are not happy with the background you chose you can always refer back to Step 1 on here and do a new background search. Until you find one that you are satisifed with.
