These steps work for Windows 98(Before I ever saved any wallpapers - I
created a new folder on my desktop and named it Wallpapers).."Go figure"..{LOL}
This is the folder I use each time I want to change my desktop paper. This also keeps your computer system cleaner and makes it a lot easier to the deletion of the wallpapers you download then want to delete later on.
HOW TO USE these as wallpapers from the folder you saved them in on your
hard-drive..
On your open desktop, right
click an open space on your desktop {away from other icons} then move to
and left click onto Properties.
When
the properties box opens.
{If you already have a wallpaper in use}
Scroll
the small open window to the top and left click on NONE, then hit your
apply. Note: Do Not hit Ok as of yet.
This will remove the wallpaper
from your desktop. This way you will not have a double desktop
background.
Now to retrieve the wallpaper
you want to use.
Left click on the BROWSE button when the new window
opens, on the top where it shows
LOOK IN: Click on the little arrow
and find the directory of the folder you saved your new wallpaper(s) in.
Left
click on open.
Left click the folder your wallpapers are in,
Left click on open.
When the new window opens, look for the wallpaper you want to use.
Left click on
it,
Left click on Open, now you should be able to see your new wallpaper in the
small window in your properties box.
Left click on Apply, now your
wallpaper should be on your desktop.
Then hit OK, to set your new
desktop wallpaper.
